I programmed the bot to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to reframe whatever people type in. This is important because when we have a negative thought, it's more helpful to be listened to and helped reframe the thought than to be given a solution or action.
At the bottom of https://reframemythoughts.com/ , I explain how people can use CBT to reframe their own thoughts. I spent a good hour tweaking the code for the prompt (prompt engineering woohoo!) so it gave me answers I was satisfied with.
